About Payment Links

Turn any charge into a link people can pay by card. With Payment Links you add line items, choose whether the link is paid once or again and again, then send it in a message or show its QR code. Money goes to your connected Stripe account, every payment lands in one list, and receipts go out for you.

Helps with: Finance, Sales

Key benefits

  • Reusable or one-time

Keep one link for a charge you take often, or send a one-time link that closes after it's paid.

  • Line items and a clear total

List what the charge covers, with quantities and prices, and the total adds itself up.

  • Eight currencies

Charge in US, Canadian, Australian, or New Zealand dollars, euros, pounds, Mexican pesos, or yen.

  • A QR code for every link

Show the code on screen or download it to print, so people can scan and pay in person.

  • No account needed to pay

Your customer opens the link on any device and pays by card, or with Apple Pay or Google Pay where their device offers it.

  • Receipts sent for you

The payer gets an email receipt with your workspace's name and logo when they pay, and another if you refund them.

  • Every payment in one list

See who paid, how much, when, and where each payment stands.

  • Refunds in a click

Refund a paid payment in full straight from the list.

  • Ask for payment in a conversation

Drop one of your links, or a new one, into your reply in a reservation's Inbox conversation.

How it works

  • Build the charge

Name the charge, add line items, and watch the total add up. Choose reusable or one-time, let the link expire after 1 to 90 days or keep it open, and add a description and up to 10 attachments, such as an invoice or photos, for the payer.

  • Share it as a link or QR code

Every link has its own QR code. Copy the link into a message or email, or download the QR code to print or show on screen.

  • Your customer pays in a minute

The payer opens the link and sees your workspace's name and logo, what the charge is for, each line item, and the total. They enter an email for their receipt and pay without signing up. A one-time link also lets them decline. The page confirms the payment and the receipt arrives by email.

  • Track every payment

Payment Links has two tabs. Links holds every link you've made, with its status and its QR code. Payments lists every payment across your links, with who paid, the amount, and its status. Search either one, cancel a request that hasn't been paid, archive old links, and refund a payment from the same place.

Questions about Payment Links

Do my customers need an account to pay?

No. They open the link or scan the QR code and pay by card on a simple payment page, on any device.

Can one link be paid more than once?

Yes, if it's reusable. A reusable link can be paid any number of times, while a one-time link closes after the first payment.

Do I need a Stripe account?

Yes. Payment Links pay into your own connected Stripe account. You can create links before you connect it, and they start accepting payments as soon as you do.

What does it cost?

ProhostAI's fee is 2% of each payment on an active paid plan and 4% otherwise, taken from the payment. Stripe's own processing fees also apply. Payers pay exactly the link's total.

Is there a limit on how much a link can charge?

A single link can charge up to $5,000 in US dollars, with similar limits in the other currencies.

Can I refund a payment?

Yes. Refund any paid payment in full from Payment Links. ProhostAI's fee is returned with it, and the payer is emailed to let them know.

Who can create payment links?

Workspace owners and admins, and members you've given access to money transfers.
