About Coding

Connect your GitHub organization and every open pull request lands in one queue, sorted into what's ready to merge, what needs you, and what's still in flight. Read the change, check its CI, review it, and merge it without leaving your workspace, then see how work is moving across the team.

Key benefits

  • One queue for the whole org

Open pull requests from every connected repository, sorted into Ready to merge, Needs you, and In flight.

  • Ready means ready

A pull request counts as ready only when it is open, not a draft, its checks allow a merge, and no review is holding it back.

  • Everything to decide on one page

The description, CI checks, and review conversation sit together on the pull request.

  • Review without switching tabs

Approve, request changes, comment, close, or reopen right from the pull request.

  • Merge the way your branch allows

Choose squash, merge commit, or rebase from the methods your branch rules permit, and confirm before it lands.

  • Plain-language summaries of AI-written pull requests

When an AI agent opened the pull request, one click turns its description into a few sentences anyone can follow.

  • A weekly recap anyone can read

Each week, what merged is written up as a plain-language changelog, filed in Drive and shown on the Analytics tab.

  • See how work is flowing

Cycle time, contributors, review load, and CI health by week, month, or quarter, plus repository health when you focus on one repository.

  • Safe by default

Members can read the queue and analytics; merging, closing, reopening, reviewing, and commenting are limited to workspace owners and admins.

How it works

  • Connect your GitHub organization

A workspace owner or admin installs the ProhostAI GitHub App from Settings → Connections. Coding imports the last 90 days of pull requests, and updates from GitHub keep the queue current after that.

  • Work the queue

Pull requests that are ready to merge come first, then the ones waiting on you, then everything still in flight. Filter by title, repository, or author, or switch to recently closed pull requests to reopen one.

  • Review and merge

Open a pull request to read what it changes, check its CI runs, and follow the conversation. Approve it, request changes, or leave a comment from the same page. When it's ready, merge it with the method your branch rules allow.

  • Keep an eye on the team

The Analytics tab shows how long work takes from open to merge, who is contributing, how reviews are spread across the team, and where CI is failing, for the current week, month, or quarter, alongside the latest weekly recap.

Questions about Coding

What do I need to get started?

A GitHub organization, and a workspace owner or admin to install the ProhostAI GitHub App on it. Your recent pull request history is imported automatically.

Can I merge pull requests from the app?

Yes. Workspace owners and admins can approve, merge, close, and reopen pull requests, choosing squash, merge commit, or rebase from the methods the branch allows.

Who can see it?

Members of your workspace can read the queue and analytics. Only owners and admins can merge, close, reopen, review, or comment.

Where does AI come in?

When an AI agent wrote the pull request, you can ask for a short plain-language summary of it. Each week, Coding also writes a recap of what merged that anyone on the team can read. The reviewing and merging is done by your team.

What does the Analytics tab show?

Cycle time, contributors, review load across the team, CI health, repository health for a selected repository, and the latest weekly recap, by week, month, or quarter.
