Practise French every day with an AI tutor

French rewards steady practice: the grammar settles once you use it. Lingua holds a short conversation with you every day and explains each correction in a sentence, so the rule sticks.

What Lingua does

  • Runs short daily conversations in French at your level, by text or by voice in the ProhostAI app.
  • Remembers the words and mistakes you keep repeating and brings them back with spaced repetition.
  • Works on what English speakers find hard: gendered nouns, the passé composé versus the imparfait, and choosing être or avoir.
  • Gets your ear used to spoken French, with its liaisons and dropped sounds, and coaches nasal vowels in voice practice.

What Lingua won’t do

  • Does not do graded homework, assessed translations or online tests for you.
  • Is not an official exam or a certificate. It prepares you; the exam body awards the result.
  • Is not an interpreter for legal, medical or other high-stakes conversations.

How it works

  1. Set your level and goal

A trip, a move, family, an exam: tell Lingua why you are learning and roughly where you are.

  2. Practise a little every day

Ten-minute conversations by text or voice, with corrections as you go.

  3. Review what keeps slipping

Lingua brings back the words and mistakes you repeat until they stick.

Questions

Can it teach Canadian French?

Tell Lingua you are learning for Quebec and it adds the vocabulary and expressions you will hear there alongside standard French.

Can it help me prepare for the DELF or DALF?

It practises the kinds of tasks those exams set at your target level and tracks your progress against the CEFR levels. It cannot award or predict an official result.

Can I practise speaking out loud?

Yes. Talk to Lingua by voice in the ProhostAI app, or type if you would rather.
