Practise German every day with an AI tutor

German grammar looks heavy on paper and gets lighter with use. Lingua practises cases and word order in short, everyday conversations, so the patterns become habit rather than tables to memorise.

Let’s practise talking about my weekends.

  1. LinguaWas machst du normalerweise am Wochenende? What do you usually do at the weekend?
  2. YouAm Samstag ich gehe mit meinem Hund in den Park.
  3. LinguaGut! Achtung: „Am Samstag gehe ich mit meinem Hund in den Park.“Verb second: after a time phrase, the verb comes next, then the subject.
  4. YouAm Sonntag rufe ich meine Mutter an.
  5. LinguaGenau! „Anrufen“ ist trennbar: „rufe … an“. Sehr gut.Exactly. “Anrufen” is separable: the prefix goes to the end.

  • Verb-second word order after a time phrase
  • mit + dative (mit meinem Hund)

What Lingua does

  • Runs short daily conversations in German at your level, by text or by voice in the ProhostAI app.
  • Remembers the words and mistakes you keep repeating and brings them back with spaced repetition.
  • Makes the cases manageable: nominative, accusative, dative and genitive, practised in phrases rather than tables alone.
  • Drills word order, including the verb at the end of a subordinate clause and separable verbs such as anrufen and aufstehen.

What Lingua won’t do

  • Does not do graded homework, assessed translations or online tests for you.
  • Is not an official exam or a certificate. It prepares you; the exam body awards the result.
  • Is not an interpreter for legal, medical or other high-stakes conversations.

How it works

  1. Set your level and goal

A trip, a move, family, an exam: tell Lingua why you are learning and roughly where you are.

  2. Practise a little every day

Ten-minute conversations by text or voice, with corrections as you go.

  3. Review what keeps slipping

Lingua brings back the words and mistakes you repeat until they stick.

Questions

Germany, Austria or Switzerland: which German does it teach?

Standard German by default. Tell Lingua if you are moving to Austria or Switzerland and it adds regional words, like Jänner for January or Grüezi as a greeting.

Can it help with a Goethe-Zertifikat exam?

It practises speaking and writing tasks at your target level and tracks your weak spots. Confirm the exam format and dates with the Goethe-Institut.

Can I practise speaking out loud?

Yes. Talk to Lingua by voice in the ProhostAI app, or type if you would rather.
