Sample result

One explained quantitative comparison

The request
Given x > 0, compare Quantity A: (x + 3)² and Quantity B: x² + 9.

Step by step

  1. Expand Quantity A: (x + 3)² = x² + 6x + 9.
  2. Subtract what both quantities share, x² + 9. You are left comparing 6x with 0.
  3. Because x > 0, 6x is positive. Quantity A is greater.
  4. The trap: (x + 3)² is not x² + 9. Squaring a sum always adds the middle term, 2·x·3.

What Leo does

  • Reads practice results and finds the question types costing the most, such as quantitative comparison, text completion and data interpretation.
  • Builds vocabulary with spaced repetition, with words in real sentences rather than lists alone.
  • Explains every missed quant problem step by step, including the faster route.
  • Gives feedback on practice “Analyze an Issue” essays against the published scoring guide.

What Leo won’t do

  • Does not do graded homework, take-home tests or anything your school requires you to complete on your own.
  • No real or leaked exam questions: it reviews the official practice tests you take and writes its own practice items. Confirm test dates, rules and accommodations with ETS.
  • Cannot guarantee a score. It shows you where the points are and keeps you practising.

How it works

  1. Share your targets

Practice scores, the scores your programmes look for and your test date.

  2. Get a plan

Weekly blocks for quant, verbal and one practice essay, with vocabulary review every day.

  3. Review every miss

Each wrong answer gets an explanation and a similar question to try.
